School is undoubtedly an important part of a person’s life. It provides the
knowledge base without which it is impossible to integrate into adult life. At school, students work on their
ability to communicate with their peers, develop communication, diplomacy and oratory skills. Yes, in every
country school programs have their own peculiarities, differences, pros and cons and it directly depends on
what is going on in the country. It depends on what goals the state sets, on its priorities. In particular, in
Russia the process of education is built in such a way that students have practically no free time. And there
is no it not because it is taken away by some subjects, which will better help to orientate in any important
spheres of people’s life activity, but because it is occupied by absolutely useless subjects, and the general
development takes place within the framework of the state ideology and values. And plus to it practically
daily there is stuffing into children’s heads propaganda, which very much influences the perception of the
real situation in the world. And as it seems to me it is very important and actual problem because again as I
have already told, in school period of life the basic views on life are formed. I understand what I am talking
about as I have felt all the above mentioned things myself. Now I am 14 years old and I live not in Russia.
And I can say without a drop of doubt that the European education system is far superior to the Russian
one.
