Female Leadership Academy Bangkok 2022
IFLRY organized various academies on female leadership with the purpose of developing leadership abilities in females. This time the Female Leadership Academy (FLA) was organized in Bangkok, Thailand from October 27 – 30, 2022. This location was selected because all the participants were basically from Asia. This program had 14 participants from 9 different Asian countries like India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Myanmar, Philippines and from the host country Thailand as well.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this academy was to help the participants in learning all the skills a female should have as a leader. This academy arranged a special meet up with one of the female members of Parliament of Thailand as an external speaker who shared her life experiences and challenges she faced during her journey in becoming a female leader. In the FLA another task was held on mental health and overcoming female self-limiting patterns in which the development of leadership abilities, the formation of this mindset, and the realization that females have the potential to lead were all highly beneficial psychologically. The cultural evening was additionally coordinated which was useful for members to be aware of one another’s culture and furthermore accommodating to know see female authority of various countries. Different exercises were likewise held that really reflect how a female ought to proceed as a pioneer.

Participant 1: Arju Pandey from Nepal working for a youth initiative organization.
‘’I learned about politics, communication skills, the challenges women face in political world and it’s probable solutions. The team was great. very supportive and helpful. The overall concept was good. I specifically liked the part where all of us were given a chance to interact with a politician of Thailand and heard her story. One of the major things I learned was the communication gap and what we can do to fill it.’’
Participant 2: Uma Kesani from India working for Nirmaan organization.
‘’I have a built a community of friends from different countries with whom I can work on women empowerment. I have learned many concepts on how to work, present, communicate, and converse through so many techniques and skills labs. The management team was really awesome. They have conducted the program in a professional manner. No partiality was shown among the audience. It was absolutely executed program by the management team. The Idea of bringing people from different countries and make them brainstorm, sit together, and work together is an awesome idea. The program is highly helpful for me as I have learned so many things from the program. I have understood the views of other countries understood lot of challenges from Asian countries for women. I liked the entire program structure and delivery. Though it wasn’t very long, we covered a lot details. It would have been great if it’s at least 1 week.’’
Participant 3: Zuren Zulaikha from Malaysia working as a student activist and currently a final year political student
‘’I have a plan to make sanitary pads free in Malaysia because it is the basic necessity for females so it should be free. This stage assisted me with acquiring numerous abilities that will assist in future with satisfying my dream project. The management group was awesome. Especially the manner in which they orchestrated various exercises that are really useful in creating female administration abilities. This scholastic meeting was helpful in numerous viewpoints.’’
SUMMARY:
This entire meeting was very helpful. Every one of the members were happy with the supervisory crew and the philosophy of this institute. The way the person in charge of this program, Yevgenia Shulga, organized everything really highlights her female leadership capacities. Her energy was exceptionally powerful. This entire meeting brought many individuals together from various districts of Asia which was useful in sharing various thoughts and their political situations with respect to female initiative.
